2 Kings
The northern kingdom of Israel went into captivity about 722 BC, and the southern kingdom of Judah went into captivity about 586 BC. Here we have their history taken from the end of 1 Kings to their captivity. As 1 and 2 Kings formed one book in the Hebrew text, the author of 1 Kings, who is not known, probably also wrote 2 Kings.
